Anyone run radar on a Garmin 3210?

Wondering what I should look for when adding radar to my 3210. Assuming I should go with a Garmin dome (I run a 22' center console with canvas T-top). Anything I should be aware of? Thoughts, experiences? Does the overlay work ok, or should I run radar on split screen w/ GPS?

I have radar on a 3210 and love it. You can navigate from the full page radar screen or split with the gps. The only warning I would give you is that the line that is placed on the screen to show your heading for navigation is large enough to hide targets on the radar. You do have to be careful when navigating with the radar on in the dark or fog that the solid pink bar that is added to your screen doesn't cover any targets.

So, can you avoid that issue (big pink line hiding targets) by using the split screen? Obviously you don't want to miss what's in front of you, especially in fog/dark! The problem I run into when running my GPS and sonar on split screens is that the GPS zooms way out and I can't get it to zoom back in...I must be missing something to toggle the zoom over to the GPS form the sonar. What kind of dome do you have? Did you have it installed, or do it yourself? Thanks for the info.

On you keypad, there should be a fucntion button that will allow you to switch between plotter and sounder.

4kw doom, I think it is the GMR18. I installed it myself and it was very simple. There probably is an option to solve my pink bar issue, but I haven't got that far into the manual yet.
