hey Capt, for stainless..look up COASTAL FASTENERS, there in MB,behind Coastal Grand Mall, pretty extensive collection of stainless..other than that,in little river there's Little River Welding,Jeff's got a decent collection..for flounder go here -http://www.gofishsc.com/Fish/sc_reef_locations.htm
haven't fished lower Strand in a while, but if ever up Little River way..go to Little River Inlet, the jetty's always have a good selection of black drum/flounder/convicts/striper's/reds/blues/'hoo.and plenty of tidal flats close by.Good Luck. If theres any other parts you might need PM me,as i have tried them all. Steve

I have been trading out the top bench seat back home with a stainless 'welded' rail and seat system on the boats I do back home. with the new age of water jet cutting you can make the coolest deck mounts and brackets.. had to replace the fwd bulkhead due to the way these older inboard boats sat and would drain the water into the engine compartment.... this little girl is starting to look cool though.. already have a giant pile of junk on the side of the boat .. (owner has been smiling and hauling off stuff..) there have been deer right next to the boat so far in the morning 4 of the 5 days I have been here..
.. I hope to find a 'usb to cannon' camera cord soon and I will post some pics..
big pile of stuff! boats getting a new main bulkhead, new transom, new tanks, outboards, decks and lightened up and brought back up to today's standards..
do you like the green stuff on the bottom of the tank plate???
or the cracked up no resin fiberglass?
just remember that there were 2,800 of these little boats made...
the wood in the rudder assembly and bilge pump shelf's were gone.. so was the main bulkhead ,, all replaced now.. she is coming along great though...
NICE...for there day, those old Bert's were dam well built, from the look of layup around stuffing box's..twice what most had, back then glass over wood was cutting edge..not alot of time between chris smith running v8's in all wood hulls,to glass..looks great amigo.
