That foam is amazing. I have had to pull out basement windows that were held in place with that stuff and we had to break the frame to get it out and that's only a small fraction of the surface area that you dealing with.

I don't envy you at all....

    Good luck!

I've heard of others using pressure washer or piano wire threaded under tank to cut them clear, if you have the clearance.

Makes me sooooooo glad I sold my '97 Welcraft last year. I was starting to worry about the e-10 problem and how I wuz a gonna get that tank outta there if the time came.

Since you have gotten this far,,, I would think there would be some kind of solvent that would attack that foam. I'm sure it would leave a mess but might be less work in the long run.

    too little to mention
Jawz12 you are on the right track. If you have not succeeded yet, try using a hand tree limb saw or long sazall blade, I've even seen someone use an electric chain saw to cut as much foam from the sides as posible. You will almost never break the bond on the sides of the tank by lifting.

Once the sides are as clean as posible, lift it as you were and at the same time pry it side to side it is tough but it will eventually will pop. Then it's time for a cold one, or two....... Good luck
