I've got a very good friend who is trying to find a 2005 or newer 225 hp outboard and doesn't want to go through a 'Greg Slayton' fiasco. Would appreciate any help - MV

HEAPS OF PROBLEMS WITH THIS DEALER AS PER OTHER WEBSITE....HE IS ANOTHER GREG SLAYTON TRUTHFULLY SAID
http://www.thehulltruth.com/boating-...ilder-com.html
he can check lower units easy and the over-all condition of the motor himself or with a mechanic.
some outboards will have bulletins of new lower units, parts or so on but compression and engine hours are the most important.
plenty good engines for sale ..

I'm going to tell him to start checking with some local dealers as I agree that he should be able to find one. Although he's out of the Stuart area, I know that he would drive to another part of the State if it seemed like the deal - Although he is not an expert, he is pretty knowledgeable. This guy had a 200 'Suzuki' when people still thought that 'Suzuki' meant some sort of fandango Japanese vegetable...
