another tough job
this is a bayliner cruiser...fuel odor...not a fun job - by any stretch ...
drives are off, engines are out, engine room bulkhead cut out - cockpit storage box cut out,aft cabin deck cut out - deck over tank cut out,and yes,the tank's out...wow ! that's alot of cutting !
love that sawzall !
tank was suffering from having 12 holes in the bottom,2 on the aft end of the tank...i believe there were more holes in the bottom, but,i think i found enough...the owner is a very smart man - he smelled the fuel,he guessed the tank was leaking, and he contacted me...
i promise you guys,a fuel odor is nothing to play with - you smell fuel, you fix the problem...
this boat's a 1990 21yrs old...lots of older boats out there - it's best to check it out,before a huge problem occurs...
the sending unit hole - that's a hole in the tank - right in line with the sender - pretty cool huh ? everywhere you see tape - that's a hole - in some cases,it's 2 holes...
