Like I said, I like the 26 and I feel it's a damn nice boat and good in a head sea. But I'll stack my 24 up against it anytime in a head sea and the 24 is far superior in following or quartering seas. The 24 tracks very straight. 1400 hours on mine and I have not found a sea that it does not like other than truly large, tight head seas. My dream is a 28 twin diesel boat but with two kids and barely being able to keep up with the crap on my 24, I'll be repowering with an EFI 350 next year. Glenn ps - Jim, I think you need to do some major ass-kissing and go buy that boat!!

I have heard also that the 27/28 is a 24 on steroids, stretched and widened just a bit. There are oodles of gas ones out there and even one with yanmars up in your neck of the woods thats priced right...

Yes, I heard the same thing up here that the 27 is a "larger 24"
Of course, we all know where the 24 was copied from Which is what makes moving up a tough decision for me....... |

275 express
I have a 1994 27 And repowered it with 2002 PCM 330 HP and ZF gears. It burns @ 18gph.
If you keep it moving it rides like a much larger boat. I like this boat alot, but the wife wants a bigger boat with a salon. I am not sure if I want to pay the fuel bill. For now I am keeping the Albe. |
