Airmar Transducer and Speed Temp Sensor

I just purchased at boat with Airmar Transducer and a Speed Temp sensor these are two units the ST sensor slides and Clicks into place onto the transducer. I can't find a model number for the transducer but i believe that the Speed Temp is a airmar ST63.

I also received a Garmin 160c Fish finder with my purchase of the boat. Is there anyway to make the transducer and speed temp sensor work with the Garmin Fish finder. The garmin has one connector(6-pin). And there are two connectors from the airmar devices one for the transducer and one for the speed temp sensor.

Is it just easier to buy a new transducer? I would prefer to not spend 100 bucks on this if i can get what i have to work

Your best bet would be to give Airmar a call directly and have the model# of the unit you are trying to connect to as well as the pin count of the transducer cable(s). They should be able to send you a "Y" connection that will allow you to use the existing transducer with your unit. If you need help send me a PM and I will try to locate one for you.

I just bought a airmar thru hull for my CC.... I installed it myself and it is universal with dozens of depthfinders. All you need is adaptor cable (assuming airmar makes one for your garmin). I'm sure there is a solution other than complete replacement
