Adding a second Station; Center Consol

I am debating adding a second station to the top of my T-Top on my center consol, (26 ft)

I have seen the ones where the controls are mounted on the T-Top and you stand about half way above the top, or waist high above the top through a trap door.

I would need something low profile because I trailer to OC, OI, and HI...

I think this would be a good advantage to get a little better look at the water and horizon,

    Two Questions:
    1. Does anyone have an estimated cost on adding the second station, I have twin yamaha four strokes w/ Hydraulic steering.

    2. Would the 6' or so height advantage be worth the cost and effort to add the dual station?

    Thanks
    Ric

    Captnemo,

I've been kicking the same idea around myself. I live on the west side of the Sound and fish the same area's as you. I've got a 25ft DownEaster, with twin Honda's. I like the idea, but am like you I don't know the cost. I know who I'd have build mine if I go ahead, he lives here in Bath. I'd be glad to put him in contact with you. Frank,SeaPower

I have started doing a little research for this on my Parker 2530 with twin F200's. I want to add cockpit controls.

What I have learned so far is you need to convert to electronic controls to run the Yamaha controls or go with double Morse type controls like the big boats have. Probably in the range of 3-4,000 dollars.

If I'm wrong, someone please correct me. Like I said I have just started doing the research.
