    AC Boat Show

Just got back. All I can say, it is a far cry from what is used to be. I hope the vendors were able to at least cover expenses. I did see some sold signs on new rigs, so maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel.

As I mentioned in the other thread, according to the Canyon Club and South Jersey Marina, there are a lot of broken outriggers from the storm. The Cape May guys might want to have your rigs check out.

On the bright side, it was nice getting out of the snow for the day and seeing some familiar faces. Can spring be far behind?

    Fritz,
It's been nice following your rebuilt thread, sorry its been overrun with naysayers about how to do the job correctly. It sounds as though you've done your homework. I look forward to seeing her this summer when we are at the docks during tourney time.

I was at the AC show on Friday night...I took the train from Hammonton. There were very few people and loads less vendors than ever. I feel sorry for the ones that were committed. The weather and attendence makes me think none of them covered their costs. I did hear the bell (sold boat) ring a couple of times though.

Thanks for the update from Canyon Club & SJ Marina....my boat is on the hard at Utches...I called no visible damage. They said Cape May county is STILL a real mess as far as the roads and a lot of power outages. Anybody want to check on your ride, you better call instead of heading out.

Thanks for the compliments. We did our homework and believe me she is bullet proof. I don't worry too much. I have some of the best boat builders in the biz get bashed on web sites, so I think we are in good company.

    Fritz,
I've been shopping around a little for outriggers for our boat. It appears that Consumers Marine has marked many of their riggers down to cost. There was a set of 28' Lees, originally @ 4k marked down to about half that. Just thought I'd pass that on.
