    '99 v200hp Yamaha issue

Well, I bought a new (used boat) recently and ran it for a couple hours today. 1990 2550 Pursuit with twin 200 Yamahas! Sweet boat and motors. Until after arriving back at the docks one motor wouldn't fire up. I could hear the click of the starter but nothing more than that. Being an olad "sort-of-a-mechanic as a teeneager a long time ago, I'm thinking perhaps a solenoid or the starter? Anyone have an idea of what might be the issue? I have the same motor on my 22' Pursuit for 7 years and never had this happen.
Does it sound like I may be on the right track or...
    Thoughts!

Had same problem on my 200 yami. There was water in my ignition switch that would occasionally short out the circuit. Probably not the starter if it worked when you fired her up the first time. I would check the fuses under the cowling first. Then I would unplug and cross the ignition switches. If she starts with the opposite ignition switch, the problem is in the console. Most likely the solenoid if these dont point to the problem.

i second checking the batt connections, hand tightening isnt good enough, clean em up and tighten with plyers, sounds like an easy fix. good luck

I'm going to check the connections again and clean them all up. But, I can say looking at the connections last night they "looked" clean.
Thanks for the input and I'll keep you posted as to the success or lack of.

Checked connections; all good. No corrosion issues. Tightened nuts. Behind the fuse cover I could feel the "click" when the wife would turn the key but I couldn't determine an in-line fuse but there looked to be a relay box, black in color and about 2" x 2" square. I'm not much into chasing electrons and am not sure where to go from here except doling out $100/hr to get it right
