87' 75 HP Mariner outboard motor
I drive a 75 hp Mariner ouboard motor on my pontoon boat. When I throttle forward, at about 1/2 throttle, it starts bogging down as if it wasn't getting enough fuel. I tried it again, numerous times, with the boat tied up at the boat house, same thing happens.
I took it out, brought it home and hooked it up to a water hose. It does the same thing. But when I go strait to the carb linkage and throttle it up by hand, without the spark advance moving with the carb linkage, it runs good, no missing, no bogging down. Anyone have any ideas? Use my email address if you would like. z.arm@att.net, thanks Z.T.
