    76'mako inboard project

    Hey guys,

It seems we have a few projects going on right now.I started mine some time ago,but I had to move for a new job,and my fiance dumped me.The latter seems to turning out for the better. Here are some pics of my project.I now have the console recored and the inside awlgripped.I have all the parts out of the boat sanded and prepped for paint. All the stringers are out and the hull ground.I will post some more pics soon,I lost my usb cord for my camera.

Glad to see you back at it Blackwell. I guess the one good thing about being woman-less is that you have more time to work on the boat and to be out on the water . Have a merry christmas dude! I can't wait to see this project come together.

C'mon, borrow a cable already! Love those Mako inboards... I think Mako would do well to build them again, either the 23 or the 26..

    great boat

i had that same mako for almost 5 years and that was one of the best boats that i ever owned, i am regreting getting rid of it, it was a great riding hull that went thru the water like a tank, i had done so much too it, but i should have kept it and done what u are doing. I hope your putting a deisel because that thing would fly. Send me some pm's if you have any ? on the boat would love to help and see the progress of that classic.

I currently have a 26' Mako with twin inboards. I am going to sell her so that I can get into a Cape Horn 31 that will get me to the yellowfin tuna. I would be willing to take offers if you're interested.

    Here's a pic.....

I am in Corpus Christi, Texas and it is powered with twin 260hp gas engines.
If I sell her....would probably help with the shipping cost. I have posted that I am asking $28,000....but I will take offers. I would like to sell so that I can get a boat with better range. I put new heavy duty aluminum tanks in last year...(51 gallons each)...and there is a third tank under the center console that need replacing. That tank holds 40 gallons. One of the transmissions probably should be replaced. The bottom of the boat needs to be repainted and there are spots that need repair from blistering. If the boat is sold...the tuna tower needs to come down for transfering...it is way too high. She is a very nice ride..just wish that she had a lot more range. If you're interested...make me an offer....I just might take it to get into the new Cape Horn.
