Purogave & Shatterglass - thank you very much for your nice comments. We like her too - although I have to say the two new 60' Ritchie Howell Convertibles being built right now are another leap forward over ours and will be something to see when splashed this spring. Even I'm jealous of them!

I agree with the initial post, the 61 Garlington is the Holy Grail for me. There was a nice one that needed some work on Yachtworld a few months back named Joyride. It was a 2001 with Man 1300's , it had a strange layout though, however with some interior work would have been a great value. It was set up for cruising and was never fished. The boats windshield went all the way around the boat, the front wasn't fake and painted black like most of them. They were asking 695k, those boats are over a mil, would love to know where the Joyride is now, probably being re fit. The lines and look of a Garlington are second to none in my opinion, and many boats designed today try to achieve that look.

Ive' been on quite a few here locally as were lookin' and hard...seems to me most that own em' love em'...

    Garlington 61' with IPS...seems remote at best..just my .02$..

Love the Garlington...only drawback to me is the height in the engine room, yet I realize the center of gravity that makes it the boat it is...
Tim, I think Tiger Woods is having one built now...should be close to finished.

In my opinion, the Garlington 61 has a timeless look to it that will take quite a long time to get stale. They were well ahead of their time when they drew that hull up many years back.

From Garlington Landeweer's website: "We are pleased to announce that our latest and greatest, 61 foot, hull number 52 has just been delivered. We have recently pulled Hull number 53 out of the mold and we anticipate a completion date of September 2011."

There isn't a date attached to this statement but my guess it's at least a year old. Either way if 53 is on and stays on schedule that will be two 61's completed in the last 2-3 years.
