46' Merritt

Does anyone have any experiance with 46' Merritts? Are they good boats, every one seems to be talking about the 43', not the 46'.

Were never as loved as the 43, although they were fine boats. My buddy ran a 46 and several 58's and he loved the 46.

These were the first glass boats that Roy built. Some die hard cold molders may not have accepted them. First one was a cold mold (wood) and the rest were epoxy glass. Several were powered with 6-92's and those motors had their own problems. Few have 8 cyl mans.

Knew the captain of 2, both loved the boats. They are beauties.

Do you know how many 46´s they made?

46 is a better ride..the 43 is a bit of a submarine,wet.

If your looking at the one available with QSM-11's,very well cared for boat.
