just out of curiousity, why anything but nidacore?
i'm not familiar with its what it's designed for or what it's not designed for.

here's a few more update pics...i made up a set of "scupper" covers, these will prevent water being forced into the cockpit when the boat's backed down-these are made from a mold i set up...
the glass work on the keel is completed,i'll put up some pics tomorrow...
check out the hauler...
here's the latest update...
all the glass repairs on the hull have been completed-big job !! used about 8-10g west system in total
but,we're done !! bottom was painted as well !! with the exception of the finish paint on the hull, the hull's completed !!
no barrier coat is needed, all the repairs were completed in west system epoxy, which is completley waterproof...
glad this is done !! jacking the boat up to move the keel blocks was a little sacryi got this fear of gravity !!
deck's next !! deck's out, gonna start dropping plywood next week...deck will be made form 3/4" marine grade ply, coated in epoxy on the underside and glassed over on the top side...
colors are gonna be:white hull,black bottom,red accents...
gotta get some more red bull...

Looking good,I like the rig you made for the scuppers, nice.Keep the pics coming!
the scupper cover is different, but why not use a soft flexible rubber instead of glassing, I would be worried every time backing into the dock.
hey jawz12,
looks like she's coming around, just curious , it looks like she's got a lot of glass on her hullsides maybe CSM, are you planning on fairing her a little or are you just gonn a fish her ?
I know all that fairing is a lot of work and if your painting her white you wont see it ,just wondering?
she doe's have some pretty lines though.gonna make a good fishing platform.keep the pics coming cause i can't wait to see her in the watah!
i'll have a bunch of update pictures later on today...
the hull, and the bottom are both glassed over-alternating layers ,ended with what looks like 1.5oz chop strand...the glass skin is approx 5/16" thick...
i was gonna spray it with duratec,surfacer,but....we're just gonna roll 'er a nice white...
scuppers, the rubber flappers will get real stiff, won't open...i made those up real quick...
deck's done...removed and replaced the decking on the boat...big job-cockpit measures 11'4"x19' 10"
basically 240 square ft...made up a few additional supports and checked and rechecked everything below decks-all looks good !
deck is 3/4" marine grade ply, epoxy coated on the underside...it's screwed and glued to the supports...
it's gonna be covered in 3 layers of 1.5oz chop strand matting...
we're getting there...
problem now is,time to get boats ready for customers...
