arent the jersey cape 36 and the jersey devil 36 the same boat? Jersey Cape now has the mold for several years.
36 jersey cape...better fishing platform VERY well built...eye candy
38 out island...new builders now (good guys, not going to mention who...) one hell of a sea boat!
sea view...sorry zero experience
The original Jersey Devil 36 were all great boats for the money. A new jersey cape devil 36 goes for over $500000 i think not sure but saw a used one listed for $499000. The original jersey devil 36's never had a new price tag over $200000? The steering helm consoles look the same now as they did in 1992? The Jersey devil 36's have dated interiors but they're of a different era. As far as ease of access to the engines they have a door under the helm seat to get into engine room. The whole deck under the steering helm lifts up for easier access easier than flybridge boats. So the same thing goes money can buy anything but some of those older devil 36's are a hell of a deal especially the ones that were repowered with yanmars for under $200000.
TEEZER38, you can call me about any of the older boats, i have knowledge of most of them. and don't worry i wont try to sell you a boat.
The last Jersey Devil was built in 1996 so if you are comparing to a Out island it will be much newer. The helm on the older boats do not lift and access to the engines is through the door under the helm chair. The original Jersey Devils only had 300/350hp and would be considered slow today. the smallest engines we put in the new Jersey Cape
is 450hp unless it is going into a location were speed is not a factor or charter service in another country.
