Middle Finger

i wonder if people think that a boat is bigger just because of the name

of course your going to assume that a 36 is a huge CC but if you were on a 34 would you really be able to tell the difference. i have not been on very many larger cc's but on the smaller cc's i cant tell. correct me if im wrong.

and yes all thoese hi performance tournament fishing goodness boats are beautiful

damn gas prices

i added the middle finger cause i thought it was funny lol

I love these CC arguments...always the same old shit. I like Jay's comment. Let 'em come to Hatteras in March and April and see how fast they get to the break. Just end up tucked behind one of the big boys as usual....I'm only 42' and I've laid it down for many a CC. I'm not hating on 'em, sure they're good boats....but what the hell good is 60knots, or even 40 knots when you can almost never use it?

Invincible vs Venture

I have a 34 Venture and just fished the Invincible VP's 36 ft boat for two days. I was frankly not that impressed. Yes it has a high top end but we cruised at 35 to 40 just like my Venture and I did not think it was as comfortable a ride in chop. It is a dry fast ride but I did not think it was very comfortable for a 36 ft boat. No good/comfortable seating while running other than the helm bench. No head. Poor access to the console contents when underway. Gunnels are too low astern and too high forward of midship for fighting fish. It does hold a lot of fuel. Decent live wells. No transom tuna door-I particularly didnt like that. It doesnt feel like it would be as stable in a beam sea as my Venture. Fish boxes were kind of small and did not hold ice well. Dont like the T Top configuration that is standard. As far as pricing, you can buy a 36 with triple Verados or Suzukis for about 210 to 220 K. Its not a bad deal if you just want to go fast and are in the SKA circuit. But not my first choice.

your venture cruises @ 35 kts........

I think a venture with 300 hpdi will be top end @ 35 KTS.....

dont get me wrong the venture is an awesome bilt boat but is a DOG with either the 300 or the 250....really needs more ponies

Thumbs up

yes just released you are dead on it i have many loged hours in a venture and thats where she runs at period, its a good riding boats but the speeds suck period, mabey with a pair of 350s on ti it will do better but it will not RUN PERIOD with 3 of the boats listed, boat is not made fore it, if it was then the transom setup would have been different, now take the venture to a second level to run look at the bahama line of boats and the speed picks up and can hang trips on it.
so dont get me wrong venture is a hell of a fishing machine but lacks badly on the speed side period.

catch em up!!!!!!!!!!!

another reason why ventures are lacking on the speed is because of the hp rating. Yamaha is currently working with venture to make ventures with the 350's. yes everyone already knows that. the problem with venture is that the 34's are not rated for such heavy motors which caused the fittings to sink under the water. so they are making new models that are capable of the 800 pound motors. i would like to see it with the new 350 verados which are like 150 pounds lighter

http://www.venturemarine.com/yamaha.pdf

how about we add midnight express and sea vees to the board??

Out of all the center debate threads this one is different. True knowledge seems to be in it. Beautiful boats for sure!

Just curious how tall are you? I never did get the chance to get on one at Miami and I hear pro's and con's on the boat. Hard to decifer an opinion without being on it.

Are thier fish boxes forward or aft?

I seen pictures of the console and I think that the console itself was top notch a whole lotta room across the board

Guess I really need to get on one!

ps. Great name on the boat too!
