    336 Canyon

I'm a Grady owner already. Pleasently surprised with the ride, but then again, my knees are fairly young and i think 6-8's could be fun... But I just couldnt resist by having to ask about this monster (336 Canyon GW)

Msrp is around 320k i think?

What are your opinions and if you were lucky to get on one, what's your grade.

    6-8' seas ??? now honestly,be serious here,would you really want to run in a 6'-8' ???
trust me,i know how your rig,a 25 grady rides in a 3-4' sea,it will beat you to a pulp-again,a close 3-4' sea in that rig is not a good place to be,right ?? now, with that, would you really want to run that bigger gw in a tight 6-8' sea ??? there's no small boat made, small being under 35' that's gonna run good in a tight 6-8' sea
don't believe what other owners tell you,and certainly don't believe what a boat review in a magazine tells you-ANY magazine...

my thoughts??? well, you can go alot further with that THREE HUNDRED AND TWENTY THOUSAND DOLLARS! thats alot of coin for a 33ft production boat, and even though grady makes a very nice product, you can do much better for the money. And that just msrp, hell you could prolly finish off a nice 38-40ft downeast for the money you are going to have into it by the time you are done... just my thoughts

    grady

Man 320 for a Grady. what in 3 years lose 40 cents on the dollar. buy a used Carolina boat for the same $$ and get your 90 to 95 cents back at resale. The day you buy a boat is the same day you need to think about the day you will sell.

Thank you. Grady's are AWESOME quality boats and i have fished off a few. They are made well but beyond that NOTHING special. Way way way way overpriced.

$320k can get you a pretty nice friggin rig that rides better, probably bigger too.

I have had the opportunity to run the canyon 33 on a couple of occasions, and the boat definitely rides!!!!! Granted, I have not run the boat in 6-8s, but it takes consistant 4 four footers like boat wakes at cruise. When the opportunity permits itself, the boat will absolutely fly for a 33 foot bluewater boat. The srews on the 350's bite like a big boat and you can definitely tell when you lean on her in reverse or need to spin at the dock.

I have no Idea regarding MSRP; but in my opinion there are very few boats built to last like a Grady White. I know of too many people fishing on repowered Gradys that are still in great shape!!!

    Bingo.

    Lets go over this:

Grady - center console (gets cold and wet up here), 700hp in an almost 10,000 lb. boat $320,000

Carolina Classic 32' - express (cover and shelter from wind and cold), 800 hp (roughly) 30 kt. cruise for about $300k

I would go for the Carolina for the type of fishing we do up here bud.
