31' Yellowfin, Advice Needed

Great site guys. I am in the market for a used 31' Yellowfin to fish in central Jersey and was curious if anyone ever owned or fished in one up here in Jersey. I have chartered on a couple in the keys and have loved the way they are built since the first time I rode in one.
Any pointers or advice would be appreciated or recommendations on other boats.
I have been on Contender and it was wet with the typical south wind in the afternoon ride home.Worldcat has a nice ride but horrible drift.

Thanks in advance

Boat: N 2 the Blue, 21 Sea Fox
Home Port: Ocean Isle, NC
Best Catch: 320lb Bluefin
Occupation: Construction Engineer/Manager
fished a 31' in NC, was in 10 footers one time. We were in the trough but the boat handled it fine. Can't imagine you will be in worse than that up in Jersey.

I fish small Contenders yet dream of big Yellowfins. I have fished a YF 31 and a YF 36. No comparison. The 36 is the best large CC built to date.
The new 32 gets great reports from my fishing buddy captain Squid who runs one, but I have not been on it.

Yellowfin is the cream of the center console crop, unless you can afford a venture.

Cheers,

Thanks for the replies guys.I wish I was looking fro a 36' but for now a 31 will have to do.
I know it is tough to find the perfect boat but just looking at the pros and cons.
Rabco, what sea conditions did you have in the 31' and how did it handle the quartering seas?

I fished on a 31' and a 36' in the Gulf of Mexico. Nice finish to the boats, but when wind is blowing, they are just as wet as any other go fast center console boats.
