Boat: 31 Contender, 198 Carolina Skiff. { Animosity }
Home Port: Cape May, Somers Point, NJ
Best Catch: Crabs from a rancid hooker
31 Contender,storage question/ radar placement ?

I was fortunate enough to sell my Parker [ thank god !! that pounder is gone !! ] and was going to buy a Sea Vee but with some guidance from " Just Released ", I went with a 31 Contender. I had some bad vibes on the Sea Vee. I got an unbelievable deal on this Contender, but as I finalize the paperwork Im wondering about tackle storage ??
Not much tackle space on this boat [ above deck storage ].....
Any suggestions ? Im thinking a storage center under the helm seat ?? Anyone have one ?? pics ???
Also , the boat has a Garmin 2010C unit but no radar. I like the idea of seperate units [ radar, Gps, sounder ] but no place to mount a radar except on top of dash ???????
suggestions ?? pics...

When we build the boats custom new, the customer decide what he wants to put on it and one of the options is a leaning post.

What type of fishing do you do? How much storage do you need and what are you looking to store?

There are several different options to choose from just depends on what you are looking to spend and what you need.

As far as the radar there is a plate welding in to the top to mount the dome.

For the console, is it a slick face dash or is there a box recessed with plexi doors?

I am guessing someone mounted the unit center and never left the room on the other side for a future 2nd display?

There is a couple of ways around it, just depends on te intial set up

Also if you look in to the console from the front door, up top all the back is there a plastic hatch installed to the electronics box bulkhead? It gets in the way of some installs but there is ways around it.

Feel free to call me if you would like, I will look for some pictures and post up
