You had a Grady with scuppers underwater and you obviously Were not happy with it. You bought another Grady and requested a seatrial and they denied you a sea trial and you purchased anyway,You lost me on "FUEL IN TANK READY TO EXPLODE". Now I know its fun to bust on Grady and I have a blast reading Jawz stuff and I own one,but this is typical stuff and now some Grady cheerleader will come on and defend his ride against some cat obviously at least has some boat buying issues.Good Luck with your next purchase Donald but be carefull with REGS because there scuppers are pretty bad to-Pat L |

Well, thanks for all the info guys but problem solved. After much debate, we shifted gears completely and decided a move to a boat similar in size with inboards/diesels is the way we wanted to go. We checked out the 29 Albemarle at South Jersery, and long story short we pulled the trigger and should take delivery in a week or so. I want to say that dealing with Brian at South Jersey has been awesome so far. His knowledge, experience and no b/s attitude gives me nothing but confidence in my decision. Right now we are working on a few different options on how to rig the boat for my fishing, we should be back in the game asap. Thanks again for the info guys, didn't mean to ruffle a few feathers out there with all the crazy grady talk

previous boat wasnt a grady we wanted to step up to a quality built boat. the dealer said he doesnt give seatrial because if you back out he as a boat with gas in its tank waiting to explode sitting on his lot. should have backed out right then. not saying we didnt get our moneys worth out of her almost 4000 hrs in 10 yrs but the grady hype is pure bullshit. you pay extra upfront to be taken care of when you have problems. i would have rather paid for better construction so i didnt have the problems. our albie has no hull side stiffners between the cabin bulhead and the transom yet you can push on it harder than the grady and the hullto cap joint doesnt flex like our gradys did. the albe joint is also thrubolted and you have access to every one of them if you need to undo the rubrail or cap. not chincy sheetmetal screws into non reinforced glass like on the grady

Donald,
Its nice to see that you calmed down a little bit and good luck with your current ride as its a nice one.I have had a bunch of boats and the 2 Grady's I had were the only boats that have given me no problems and I did not say they rode the best but definetly not the worst,But go on David Pascoes site and see what he says about Albie and the Albie cheerleaders will come out and kill him but its just his deal, I have spent many days at the hudson in one.The boats mentioned originally in this thread are all great boats and Fender good luck with your new boat-Bloody that deck-Pat L |
