30' BC Hull for sale, project

Well, looking at my winter cash flow, and an large bill from Caterpillar looming, I think I may have to liquidate some of the fleet.

Besides: too many projects not enough time or $$$.

    For Sale:

30' Buddy Cannady Express Hull, this is a project hull that has some of the glass work done.

This is a great hull, I used to own her back when she was intact, and rode great, reasonable speed great economy, looked good doin it.

been in dry storage under cover all summer.

    pics:

the hull as she is now:

What she looked like when we owned her 97-2000

$12,500 OBO, I am not looking to fire sale give her away, but I will entertain resonable offers.

Includes many valuable parts, fuel tank, fighting chair, some rigger parts, several misc steering parts, other fittings and stuff.

Also, I will be willing to do the refit (as my time allows) as much or as little as possible, will discuss with any interested buyer.

I had intended to put a single 6cta cummins of 430 hp in her with a thruster, this should give speed in the mid 20's cruise and probably approaching 30 wot, very good economy

Twin engines are also possible at this point. If you are so inclined.

I would really like to redo her myself, and put her back in service as a half day boat and take her commercial mackin in the falls, but some cash flow right now needs fed.

    Poor Maintenance

    Poor Maintenance.

Actually she has already been started on the redo, so alot was done already in the tear down, that is why she looks the way she does.

Frankly I feel they overdid, the tear down.

The boat has no broken frames, or rot (with the exception of a little around where the shaft log goes through the bottom, easy fixed with modern shaft tube arrangement)

The juniper looks as good as it did the day the boards were planed.

    Wide

She is a wide 30 footer, I think the beam is 11'2" at the widest point of bow flare.

the boat is big for a 30 footer, kindof sounds redundant but it is true.

I think with higher horsepower "b" series cummins, you could get a 28-30 knot cruise.

    Frisco

I have been asked the same questions a couple of times.

    Boat is in Frisco.

I can deliver or assist in delivery.

Can easily be transported on a trailer.

We moved it to my yard on a trailer for a carolina classic 25.

the hull is pretty light., my f150 pulled it no problem 60 miles or so.

    Gutted

I told you it was gutted.

I think they went too far, nothing wrong with the bow cap or the bridge deck, but someone went nuts with a sawzall.

Wow I was just beginnining after 50 some years to think I was nutty

Is she juniper planked? looks that way from the picture, or is she a plywood boat? Someone could do whatever with that hull as far as that is stripped down. And your right I think they went a little too far. I think I seen that boat a few times cant believe its torn down that far. It looked nice enough for an inboard carolina 30 fter back then.I guess you could even pu a bracket on back and two big yams huh.

I wish I knew how to build boats. I remember seeing pics of her when you bought it, and what it used to look like. What a good looking boat she was. Hopefully someone from SFC buys her and does a thread on the project with update pics. Good luck with the sale.........
