Good luck with the refit on your Phoenix. They are a great boat. If you know anyone who is looking for one, our family fish boat is for sale.

This 1978 Phoenix 29 Sportfish is a must see!!! If you are looking to get offshore for the first time, or looking for a more economical ride this is the one. Repowered in 2004 by Carey Diesel, in Dover, DE with 200 HP Daewoo Diesels with low hours. She was repainted three years ago by Judge Yachts. She has a Furuno 7’’ NavNet, with Radar, Northstar GPS, Full Bridge Enclosure, Sleeping for Six, Outriggers, Dripless Shaft Seals, Full Head, and Galley and much more. She is set up for offshore fishing, and a proven fish raiser. Boat is located in Millsboro, DE. Need to sell immediately!!! Call Shane at 443-309-6383 or bysshane@aol.com.

She is in the forum's with pictures!!!

Thanks for the pics. Pretty work on the Hatteras. I like how you found a compact location for the compacter. What did you do for power, and what kind of performance numbers did you end up with after the repower?

Good luck with the Phoenix, and please keep us updated on your progress.

Status Update.

The Motors are winterized, here in the North East its Gettin Pretty Cold. Been alot of freezing Nights. So it makes it difficult to work on the boat, but the good thing is she is in my back yard.

The Swim Platform has been removed and looks like its goin down to NC.

The Crash Pumps are designed, Components Purchased and all that has to be done is to Install them.

The Bottom has been stripped, let me tell you guys it had literally 25 years of paint build up, the paint was nearly 1/4" thick.

Now we are in the process of building a frame around the boat and use shrink wrap to make a building around her.

Once that is done all the thru hulls will be removed, rub rail bow rail and so forth and prep work for paint will begin.

Pics coming soon!!

The Trash Compactor makes a big diffrence, although there was alot of wood work involved and alot of research to find the right appliances.

The boat had 6-71's and moved to 6-92's 550hp with a turbo upgrade, work was done by Rybo Spencer in FL, which is the last time they will ever touch one of my boats. engine mounts left loose and all crazy things.

with the full tower and fully loaded were pushing 18kt cruise, we still are tooling with it because we are told she should get 20 knts, we are not diesel experts so we get the guys down to the boat Finding a good detroit mechanic is like trying to date Paris Hilton, impossible...

Pictures of the project

This boats bottom was in bad shape with 20 years of build up, so we striped the bottom. and are in the process of removing the boot stripe. platform is off.

Contemplating in playing with a new retro vent system, seen some good stuff on Betram31.com so going to the drawing table.

wish West Marine had a black friday sale!

Another thing we will begn this weekend is building a temporary building so i can get ready to prep and paint in the spring!
