29 Blackfin with twin Cummins 6bta's

Anyone here have any experience with this setup? I am looking to move up, so looking for good info. What kind of fuel usage could I expect?

It's a nice rig. I can't give you exact munbers, but I used to fish on one and it got pretty good fuel economy. I have the same engines in my boat (a 30ft Blackwatch) and I get about a mile and a half a gallon on a typical canyon run. That's 75 miles running, trolling all day and half the next day and then 75+ miles back. I'll burn about 120 gallons. Hope that helps.

Damn Mike, that's some pretty good fuel burn Not bad at all!

I have a 32 Blackfin with 300 HP Detroits. I get about 1.1 NMPG at cruise (22KNTS)

The same trip as Mako Mike, I would probably burn 170-180. Normal canyon run for me is 95 miles cruise each way, 10 hours troll and genny at nite at 200-210 gallons

I also had a 32 with 3208's. Blackfin is a very soild boat, although a tad bit wet. I owned it for 8 years and caught a LOT of fish while trolling.
