23 sea ox rebuild

hey guys, i need some advise. i have a 1985 23 sea ox walk. it is the i/o model. i took the engine out because i want to replace it with an outboard. the decks around the motor well are soft. i am confident that i can fix them. however i drilled through the transom today and saw that it is rotten. i like the boat a lot and want to fix it. if the rear deck and the transom are rotten does anyone think that the stringers are also rotten. if any one has any advise on fixing it i would greatly appreciate it.

Alot of commercial guy's around here have them. Most gutted the boat's and started from scratch, it was alot of work, but they got many year's of use out of them. If I remember right those boat's were prone to having rotten stringer's and soft deck's.Frank
