hey bro whats up! i have a 28 makaira as well. i dont have any owners manuals but i can attest to how great of a boat this is. my dad used this boat as a rescue/salvage boat for a long time and now i have it. i am in the beginning stages of a total refit but i am just gonna rebuild the 454s that are in it now. are you planning on upgrading the running gear? mine has 1 1/4" shafts which swing a 18x22 4 blade prop. i was considering going up to a 1 1/2 or 1 3/4 when i was thinking about going the diesel route. just wondering what your plans were as far as running gear was concerned, thats all. good luck with the project bro!
