1980 20' Mako rebuild
![]() ![]() Here we are getting all the wet foam out, about a thousand pounds worth. ![]() ![]() Here are some pics of the aluminum fuel tube Mako used, it did not last long in water saturated foam which in turn became gasoline saturated foam. ![]() ![]() It should go smoothly from here on out as the hardwork is done. |

Rebuild Mako 20'
Hi thomas70,
I woulld love to see the result of this yellow Mako 20 rebuild. I have just purchased a 1973 Mako 20' . The console is out and the deck is coming out as soon as it stops raining here in South Fl. I plan on making it a full transom. I would like to see what you did with the stringers. I was planning on making them taller with klegisel so the new deck will sit on top of them for better support, also, making a new area for a new fuel tank instead of the original tub. Hope to talk to you soon, Don |
