Flatdog,

If I ever get caught in 15' waves 5-7 seconds apart and breaking...please pray for me and my boat as well as the CoastGuard crew that is risking their asses trying to save me. I believe that would be a little worse than "SPORTY". And sporty is not good. Best of luck with your search.

You guys have very big tide changes over there huh....

I would have to say Downeaster as well. However, a 36 foot boat is not going to be comfortable in 6-8 footers in my opinion, and 15 footers breaking I would be in the Pub getting heavy on the piss and chasin' some birds

EXACTLY!!!

John, I'm certainly not calling you a liar...I am certain you are telling it the way you believe it and I know you have spent your fair share of time on the water. Having said that, I absolutely know what 8' on the bow is, especially when they are 5 or 6 seconds apart. That will beat your eyebrows off in anything other than the very finest sea boats out there....and it will still be a bit uncomfortable in them. By the way, w/o looking at a chart I would say the ride back to Cape May from Masseys is NW which would put a NE sea on the BEAM, not on the bow...big difference when you are riding in the trough.

Ha HA !!

Flatdog..do you need luxury amendments to catch fish ? also !!!!!! you are hard on a salesman. Any thing in the saloon would be on the floor !! Stick to bare minimum and reduce repairs
The web site I posted talks of all kinds of additions to the boat "interceptor" 4" thick ribs @ 18" apart should last a few seasons in 10 to 12 footers Trick is ..how do you clean the catch on the way in??

its to avalon not capemay, if we were going to capemay it would be off the side of the boat maybe 8ft down from the bow of the boat. Going to avalon it was just about dead nuts on the bow maybe off by a fraction of a ft. Either way i'm done with this thread its way off topic from where it should be.

Recently I had the chance to catch some rides on a 35 cabo and must say I was impressed in 4-5 footers running in all directions. ( Seatrial ). Good luck!

I second the Cabo comment. On my 35 express last year we were heading to Bimini from Treasure Cay and we say some real nasty 8 footers. I had the boat doing 18-21 knots, easily. It was bumpy, but not scary.

I'd recomend a Stidd Helm Seat on gyro stabilized hydralics, and the rest of the crew put in Ron Rico Stasis
