Transfering Data from Garmin to Raymarine

Does any one know what the drill is to transfer waypoints from a Garmin 276 to a Raymarine E 120 unit

Both units are NMEA compatable but is there a cavble that you can just purchase ?

The folks at Ray Marine said that i can use the pre-made power cable that came with my Garmin and just twist the wires to the raymarine

know that i think of it , sounds kind of dangerous to the unit's

i think i need to buy a nema plug with wires exposed to plug into the raymarine and just figure out which wire is posative and which is negative ????

any help is appreciated

Chris

Not sure from Garmin to Raymarine, but in the past we have downloaded the #'s to a card like a chart card and uploaded it in to the new machine. Make sure the card is compatible to both units.

Chris,
Where abouts are you located? I have a friend who does this exact thing here in NC. His name is John McWhite and runs a business called Profinder Charts. He can take waypoints from almost any machine and transfer them to your new one. His number is 910-512-6700. Tell him that "Squid" sent you and he will take great care of you!
