Raymarine GPS
and where I am mounting the GPS ant. is farther away than where it was on the old boat, so the question is, can I use like telephone wire to splice in or do you have to get the gps cable. Just trying to save some $ and time thanks

You can use similar sized wires to lengthen the run. I found it best to separate each wire and solder, then shrink tube each wire separately and then shrink tube the bundle. Be sure to match the wires correctly.
