Not that i am in a situation where money is no budget, however with the new boat (which should be here shortly), i went with 3 Raymarine G series along with 3 G series monitors, and 1 8 inch vei for the cockpit.
I have had nothing but good experiences with my E120 and E80 so i thought i would give the G series a shot. From what i have heard and the people that have seen it the Radar and Fishfinder on the G are incredible. I was also looking at the Navnet but heard that there were some delivery issues. Once i get it finished i will post pics.

I DIDN'T HAVE AN UNLIMITED BUDGET BUT,WHEN I PUT ELECTRONICS ON MY BOAT, I WENT WITH FURUNO OVER NORTHSTAR. 1 OF THE REASONS WAS BECAUSE THE NORTHSTAR SCREENS PUT OFF A LOT OF HEAT COMPARED TO THE FURUNO. TO ME EXCESSIVE HEAT MEANS POSSIBLE PREMATURE FAILURE.

While the Northstar screen is a bit sharper, and I think the TD conversion is slightly better as well, The Furuno gear is easier to operate, and being a single vendor, all of the Furuno devices interconnect easier.
On my boat, the radar, Sounder, Chart Plotter are all Furuno. I do have a secondary raymarine DGPS, a Robertson Autopilot, and a Raymarine Tridata. Really the Chartplotter, Sounder, Radar, and AP are interfaced, the secondary GPS is intentionally not interfaced.
