seapro,
am going from C-MAP to navionics, i need alot of detail for inshore creeks, are navionics detailed?..i need depth in tributary's and creeks connected to the ICW.The C-MAP unit's great for plotting but sucks for fine detail. |

The nauticpath chips are ok, but not as up to date as Navionics and C-map who update there charts regularly. The Nauticpath info has never been updated since it was released several years ago. Also Navionics and C-map get their data directly from NOAA whereas Navionics got theirs from a third party.
Lastly the color scheme Nauticpath chooses to use can be hard to interpret as the land is a light tan and can blend in with the water which is white. I think the Navionics is well worth the money, if you lowrance is 2007 and newer you can do a software update and utilize the features of the navionics platinum chartography. |

When you get the gold chip from NAvionics, they will give you a certificate good for a Fishn chip. Get it. It is free and is a contour map of the ocean bottom. Very nice.
