Secure Your Boat:

* Use a lock and chain on your dinghy, whether stored or on your boat

* Outboard motors should be locked to the boat

* Lock cabins, doors and windows

* Do not leave your boat key on the boat

* Consider installing a hidden electric engine cutoff switch

* Consider buying an anti-theft security system

* Take items with you

* Never leave registration, title or identification papers on the boat

* Take photos of the boat

* Keep records of the Hull Identification Number, serial numbers of engine and onboard electronics at home
