About the only bad comments I've heard is that the entry level price tag is about $6K-7K and that does NOT include installation. You'll definitely want the Pan + Tilt capability and I think that will put you in the $8K-9K range.

My Local Sea Tow guy has the Navigator II and he loves it. I have no personal experience to share one way or the other.

Good luck!

P.S. I'm definitely jealous!

I've only had one run with it... Seemed ok... Kind of grainy but at least you could see stuff that wasn't on the chart... Could have used it this week when the Ray E120 on the Contender took a crap and I was left basically blind with a bunch of glaring house and building lights making unlit channel markers way hard to see...

Alantani is the only one I have ever seen with it. He put up some pics that showed it mounted on his grady. Shoot him a PM here, I'm sure he will respond.

Thumbs up

it works great! We have the pan and tilt model on the MATADOR and have no complaints.... It was grainy for a bit..... But emc found a bad ground and now she is good as gold.... Havent used it in the fog yet but night travels are awsome you can even see a beer can float by.....

I will try to post some pics in the near future of it in operation at night... Might not be for a week or 2 if you need any input let me know...

Mine runs tru a kep monitor so the veis should ot be a problem.....

Joe

we have the pan/tilt model, it definetly puts me at ease in the dark, GE inlet has unlit bouys (which should be illegal) and it lites them up on the E120 and salon monitor, when we left for abaco in march i could watch the ice break and slide on top of itself in the dark, caution placement of controls, i just replaced ours, it is not waterproof, only water resistant and must have been hosed on a bridge clean up. bottom line i would not be without it, the price, if it only helps you avoid 1 disaster pays for itself quickly
