ACR Class B EPIRB-No use??

I have a 1998 ACR Class B magnum EPIRB. The battery is still o.k. Is there any use for this anymore? Thanks for any info.

If it transmits 406 MHz, it should still be usable. I'm not sure what "class B" means, is that like a category II, meaning it must be manually activated? Look to see if it's a 406 MHz, if it is, I would have it serviced, put a new battery in if it hasn't had one since '98, and make sure it's registered with NOAA.
