YAMAHA HELP

FIRST OFF THANKS FOR READING, NEXT NOT TO BE A SNOB OR SH'T , BUT MY QUESTION IS FOR ANYONE WITH 300S NOT 250S 0R ANYTHING ELSE. OR ANYONE WHOS FRIEND OWNS A PAIR.
I HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE A PAIR FOR UNDER 23K, NEW, WITH UPGRADEDS COMPLETED AND FULL 5 YEAR WARRANTY, MY QUESTION IS HOW DO YOU LIKE THE MOTORS, FUEL BURN, THROTTLE RESPONSE, ANY PROBLEMS AFTER UPGRADES, AND THE MOST IMPORTANT, WOULD YOU BUY THEM AGAIN...THANKS IN ADVANCE.

I'm a yamafreak... If its gray I'll play... When the 300s first came out there were some issues but that is a thing of the past. I've heard nothing but good since... Myself I havn't run them but my buddies that have em swear by em. I do have zillions of hours with other models and have always been impressed with yamaha as a whole... Any outboard with diesel hours of life earns my respect. My 115 is knocking on the door to 5000 hours. My old 225s ran 4700 and 4600 respectively. My buddys 250 just turned 3700 hard...\
We have a regulator in my marina that runs to nassaau direct from Palm Beach (180 miles) a few times a year. Says the mileage is great...

With yamaha there are very few war stories. My 226s died different deaths. Ones maine bearing went and the other threw a piston... Nothing war there...
