Problem with Merc 200 offshore
Hey guys,we've got twin 200 Merc efi offshores. The starboard engine is sounding the oil alarm. Not the steady beep but the beep-beep-beep......
The engine runs fine, and starts right up after being first lowered, but after runing it,if you kill it,and start it back up,it sputters and doesn't wana start(it will start on the fourth or fifth try) As far as we know, there are only two parts with sensors, the fuel pump, and there's another little part just aft and above the fuel pump. I'm just hoping someone here could give us a little insight.Thanks,Bobby.

check out all your wire harnesses...
it does sound alot like your not getting good connections. pass your hands and eyes over your wire harness even if it means pulling it out and make sure all are tight and no water or cuts are giving you your problems . also make sure you do not have salt running down your dash somewhere by your key harness and oil resevor.
