Bought a boat with Verado's

Admin

Yes, we did buy a boat with Verado's. We bought a 08 39 Venture with triple 300 Verado's. So far we have had no problems and love the boat. I read about all your problems but we haven't had any problems beside a slight oil leak on the port engine. The Verado's have 175 hours on them so far. When did you start to have your problems and what rpm did you cruise at? We run 4800rpms and cruise @ 38knts.

Hey Jeremy,
Hows it going? I have two brand new Verado 250's. Complements of Mercury! The first port motor lasted 10 minutes before it burned up. It was replaced "complements on Mercury"! Now and I mean right now both motors are being replaced "complements of Mercury"! They lasted 259 hours, they both failed on an offshore trip on the same day. That was a disaster! So we will see how long these 2nd generation motors last! I loved them while they worked. But once they start going their gone!

Tom, did the Merc tech run a test for “Monospreadereningitis”? I hear that ailment will shut em down quick.
