Mercury synthetic blend DFI oil

I am trying to find out if this oil will work in optimax motors. It does state for use in DFI motors.Has anybody use this instead of just straight Optimax oil?I am in need of another supplyer that is close by me instead of having to drive 35 miles one way to get Optimax oil.

Is it in a red or black bottle? Synthetic is usually red and that is Verado's or 4-stroke outboards and I would not recommend using it at all in a Optimax at all.

Quicksilver DFI is Mercury Opti Oil...

Read the back of the container it will even state that it is specifically blended for Mercury and Mariner OptiMax engines.

Read the back and it didn't state anything about Optimaxes.

DFI oil that is made by Mercury is what you want for your Optimax, it should be brownish in color, if it is green it is not for Optimax its for EFI motors. Optimax motors are "direct fuel injection" motors (DFI). I've been running them since 96...

Must not be the Merc stuff then. DFI oil is available in a black bottle with red lettering saying Optimax/DFI Oil from Mercury and the Quicksilver stuff comes in a silver bottle with yellowish -gold color saying DFI. On the back of the quicksilver bottle it destinctively references the OptiMax. It is a brownish red color. The Merc premium plus has a greenish blue hue to it,

I did use this Quicksilver DFI oil in my optimaxes.Man did my props clean up nice!Motors even ran better then using Mercurys Optimax oil.Guess I will be using this stuff more now and the best part is,it cheaper then what I was paying for balk optimax oil.

I will pull a couple plugs to see if they are cleaning up some.
