I am going to start suping up reels with new drag,gears,foot,ect and I ask would you buy it don't say yes but not from you just say yes or no. I am thinking of doing it to 9/0s they have there limits but I want to rid of there limits if you will.

What are you fishing for?

I would opt for a Torium or Saltist. You can upgrade them with Smoooooth Carbontex Drags and upgrade the bearings. Then you have a reel thats small and lighter than a 9/0 that puts out +20# of drag at full.

They are still star drag reels but awesome none the less.

Saltist or Torium should be just fine.

If you are casting from shore do the bearing upgrade. You'll get hella distance with those reels with ceramic bearings.

You don't get it 300,400,500,600,700,800,yards of line is nothing I mean I have 1600 yards on my 9/0 of 130 braid I am swiming baits out over 500 600 700 yards. I hear this all the time but only from non sharkers or boat sharkers not real fisherman rweal shore guys use 6/0s,9/0s,12/0s,14/0s,16/0s,avet 50s,avet80s,taigras,internationals,customs,ect it will not have the line to get my bait out.
