Well I guess I learned the hard way. I use white lithium grease on the main and rod bearings when I rebuild an engine. I've had good results with it. Last year when I was going through my Senator's, I thought hey use the "good stuff". Don't do it, reels got stiff ecspecially when it got good and cold. Took them down today, the grease got real tacky. Cleaned everything and used the blue Penn grease to go back together, all are very smooth once again.
