whats your favorite tackle storage tip

so like many of us, i have to much tackle... i also fish for a number of species (small bait, stripers, BFT) on a regular basis.... i like to be prepaired for anything with in reason that might incounter on a given day. i own an 18' CC but fish on many other boats... so my gear typically travels in tackle bags... but i am not convinced my system is a good as others... so i am just tossing out a blind question.

one of the best tricks i found is saving the little silca packets from shipping boxes and tossing them in your plano that has hooks... it seems to keep everything rust free

    Sabiki rigs

I was at a seminar today and the captain showed one of his tricks of the trade that I had never seen but wish I had several years ago. He took an old wine cork and stuck the sabiki hooks into the top with the shank running down the cork. He went from the first hook and keep them in order which helps in keeping it untangled. Then he tosses it into a ziplock bag and it is ready to be used the next time, instead of the mess I usually get after tossing it in with a bunch of other junk. I plan on drinking more wine before fishing season!

    Cold,
im a big believer in using these, they actually work and have what the manufacturer calls a "protective radius".
I put them in our lure, spreader bags as an added service to the customer. They come in diffrent sizes and shapes, nice product.

i will have to look into z rust if i run out of the silica packets....

i also tend to keep one plano 3600 for every kind of tackle need. one for making bait, one for ground fish, one for poppers and metals, one for big game rigging, one for soft plastics, one that i take every day (hooks, egg weights, ballons, slides, swivels, snaps etc)

i try to take the four that i will need for the day... this sometimes turns into 8.

i am having a heard time with some of the bigger plugs for BFT and Bass without adding an entirely new bag to the mix
