    What's your favorite jig?

My two are the Braid's and the crippled herring, when the fish are on sand eels the plain single hook diamond jigs really work good too.
Any other lesser known brands I should pick up?
    Anyone use the Tady's?

Those braid are real sweet! I would also like to know what hooks every one is putting on those jigs? I have been using the gami open eyed siawash, but i have been opening them up on stripers and blues. I need a good hook for the tunas using 30-50# test.

The gami open eye siwash rust easy too. I remember seeing one open on you P21, but I've never had one open. I've had them rip apart a split ring without the eye opening.
When closing the eye I use a table vise, not a pair of pliers, and close the eye really good...

try using those triple wrap rings that P21 and I got from stamina. I like them alot.
I would also like to know a better hook. May just have to go with trebs for big tuna?

I don't think that treble hooks are the answer. the problem with using those triple rap split rings is they are so wide that they don't let a normal eyied hooks swing. We need to find a super strong single hook with a large eye thats nice and sharp too.

I have some big mustads that they worked for but I don't like the hook. Too soft and I have to sharpen them. I wonder if Owner makes something, but I haven't seen it yet.

VMC makes a SS 3x strong siwash, probably alot more sticky than the mustads. I have a couple of the mustads laying around, don't like em.
