    What's everyone building these days

Its been pretty quiet on here lately so I thought I would post up a thread to see what everyone is building these days! Post um up, lets see what is going on in the world!

I will start: 5 standup 50 class with abalone inlays, 6 AmTak vertical jigging rods 3 are acid and 3 are spinning, 2 Jigging Master vertical jigging with inlays 1 conventional and 1 spinning, 1 Calstar live bait rod, 2 custom made gaffs and 3 unmentionables that are kinda top secret.

Well, thats my agenda for the next week!

    Come on! POST UM UP!!!!

    Jess,
Yeah, I seem to remember seeing some labels for the Happy Days rods! So, are you looking to take over for Randy on American Chopper since he went into rehab?

Kevin, what blanks do you use for your GBFT rods?

Those rods are built on the Calstar IGFA 80 class. I didn't cut them down at all as Capt Mike wanted them nice and long. It turned out better than I had anticipated by adding that 6th guide!

Looking to have some rods built in the future, probably in a few months before the season up here starts again. Hopefully I can experience the bend in your GBFT rods first hand in a couple weeks......

You are gonna love what you see. That blank has a great parabolic action yet has a nice soft back to it. Coupled with a UB4 butt and tuna block, its top knotch.

I also can't say enough about the WT express guides. Plenominal!!

Lets see, lately I have done 2 OTI 600gr jigging rods, spiral wrapped of course, 2 OTI 7'6" 80# rods spinners, 3 Gaffs (6' 5"), Mudhole CBVJ6040 spiral wrap, gotta start on another 80# popping OTI when the customer figures out which foregrip style he wants, another 600gr OTI (waiting on specs from customer). Plus I gotta build up an OTI 300gr and 7'6" 40/60 for myself as prototypes/loaners, and I am going to order 4 of the Mudhole Gorilla blanks! Have a few more rods pending when guys figure out what blank and components they want. Been a busy last few months!

Finally going to wrap the guides on an old spinning rod and finish my 250g jig rod over the next month or so.
