What kind of line of line ?
I my self use Andie (Pink and yellow) I think it is a lot better than Stren but that is my opinion. It seems to have more flexibility in it.For leader I use Jinkai (clear).Or YO-ZURI Hybraid.Just want to see what every one uses.

WE USE 100 LB ANDE FOR LEADER ...EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE MEAT TRIPS...................AND 60 -80 JINKAI ON THE TLD 25'S FOR WHITES AND SAILDOGS ........AND FOR CERTAIN WE HAVE NO SPONSOR.....
TWO REASONS ...IT IS TOUGH....PLUS IT IS COST EFFECTIVE FOR A CREW THAT REPLACES LEADER EVERY SINGLE TRIP!!! AND WHEN THE FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE....WE SWITCH UP TO 60-90 FLUORO....... MARTY

Well from a beach, inshore, and an a avid light tackle offshore nutt, I like to use spectra lines such as Power Pro any where from 30lb-65lb line. If using mono I like to Suffix or Inshore Big Game. As for the leader there is only one. I use Seagur Flouro. It clear in the water and super resistant to scrapes and tooth wear.
Also I'm a big believer in no swivels unless trolling. I use Bimminis in my running line and then connect to leader with no-name knot. I will also throw in a blood knot when using mono to mono but still double the running line with the bimmini. Very happy with these results and its the only knots I use now. |

For monofilament, I use ANDE on my reels. For leader, I prefer fluorocarbon for most fishing applications, and my brand of choice is Seaguar. I also like using braid, and have had good success using Fireline.

How do you like using that fireline? I've been using Power Pro and have been really happy with it. Here's why I ask...If I fish it on the boat I literaly get a whole season on it without much problems, but when I fish rocky surf and on the sand it develops mystery breaks after a month or so. I think fireline is cheaper so it may be worth a try!
