What is coploymer line used for?

Just saw some coploymer line in a tackle store. It's very soft and well priced but a search on the web has not yielded much information.

What would it be used for?

    Some more research:

Copolymer is mono (I think) but has very low stretch.

Does anyone here use it? If so for what, main line, leaders?

Monofilament is made entirely out of the same polymer; copolymer is made out of 2 or more (usually 2) polymers. Copolymer allows you to make a core of very limp line and then coat it with a tougher, more abrasion resistant polymer to get the best of both worlds. Like mono, some are good and some are bad. P-Line CXX is an awesome copolymer.

most of your high end mono's are actually copolymers.....sufix tritainium, momoi diamond etc. Most are used for main lines.
