Are there any spin reels made in USA?

US built spinners
I believe the Quantum line is US built.... Much more important as a guy who really uses spinning gear (roughly 200 days a year on the water with anglers) is whether I can get parts and how convenient that is.... As a result I'll rarely consider anything other than Penn, Daiwa, or Shimano. All three have well established parts systems and more than a few wholesale suppliers..... I've never found a shop or wholesaler yet that carries parts for Quantum - you have to go back to the manufacturer for parts....
I learned reel repair at one of the shops I worked for years ago (Reef Tackle, Miami, 1972) and have been doing my own and customer's gear ever since. I long ago decided that having to jump through hoops to get parts was not something I wanted to do. The best bad example of an outfit you want to avoid are the folks that make Ambassadeur reels for instance. Some years ago I ordered a full set of schematics for every reel they had... After three months I received a 3" stack of loose, xeroxed sheets with no parts descriptions, no prices, only part numbers and schematics that looked like heiroglyphics....(and I had to pay for them!) needless to say I gave up on them.
Hope this helps, I know there's lots of back and forth about quality if it's built offshore but the "big three" rarely have let me down....
