    Two-pronged Treble Hooks

I know that doesn't make much sense, but that's the only way I can describe the hooks I'm trying to find. If you picture cutting off one of the hooks on a treble, that's basically what I'm trying to locate. I've seen them on Braid lures and am hoping that they are sold somewhere. Do you guys have anything like that at Melton, or know how I can find some?

    Thanks for the help!

    Shoe,
Mustad makes some, but I don't remember the number on them. I got some a while back to run in my Yumee Flying Fish with I run them from a kite. I think they make some where the two sides are welded together and another version that isn't.

Mustad makes them in SS and duration finish. I believe the model number for one of them is: 7982HD I forget which, I think that's the duration but the SS number is usually similar or the same. We usually troll these with feathers up my way. I know guys use them in tuna clones and zukers also. Hope this helps.

Double Hooks is what you mean, have a close look @ most trebles and you'll see they're a double from one piece of wire with another hook brazed on.

    Any retailer carries them.

Shoe what size do you need ? I think some were i have a few boxes of different sizes and strengths

we experimented on Stripers with these and found when the fish would have a head shake it was just tearing a bigger hole in the jaw

I either got them at Harry's or SNL

    Fang hooks

I pull them on all of my trailing baits on the spreader bar. Usually 9/0 on a natural colored squid or green machine. Mustad model# is 7982HS

And you've been happy with them I take it? Thanks for the help!

By the way, I didn't think you were allowed to pull spreader bars or green machines in NC...don't let box see that

    SHOE..

i do see a lot of people fish with them on all sorts of lures.. they do work well but i find and this is just my finding...

    1. unless you are running a spreader bar on the top of the water these hooks 100 percent screw with the way the lures run..

    2. if you have this fang hook on than you do have some miss hits due to the fact that you can not get it around the corner of the jaw when the tuna or whatever inhales it and runs..

    3. someone said above.. striped bass get torn apart using these things!!! not good for them..

    4. just an extra thing to get stuck..

5... ever think maybe the nc boys do it wrong and we do it right?!? LOL HAHAH

    6. wait until you see the chit i get for number 5!!

I'm actually considering trying to use the smaller sized double hooks in place of a treble on stick baits, so overall I'd be gaining a safer set up. I'm just not sure if it would run right or stick as well. Only one way to find out I guess....
