    TRAVEL ROD

Has anyone ever tried to build there own 3 piece travel stand up rod. I haven't found any blanks like that. I was thinking of using a removable Aftco butt/a foregrip section and then have a ferrel under the first guide. It would break down into 3 20-32 in pieces. I was going to take a 30-80lbs blank and make may own ferrel. Thoughts? I do so much traveling fishing and I would like it to fit in the case with my other travel rods.

though not a 3 piece, you can still find the Lakeland locking ferrules and make a 2 piece travel rod. i'm re-wrapping three of my rods right now so that i can easily take them on the plane.
