    Tica reels

What do you all think of Tica reels? I've not herd to many bad things and would like to hear from some who have used them.

    Thanks,

I have two of them and i think they suck !!! unless you want to use them for small/largemouth freshwater fishin.
took em apart and the drag washers stack of three arent much bigger in diameter than a dime and about as thick as double ply toilet paper,i tried adding and changing washers however the way the reel is designed upon reassemblt the reel binds...you can turn the star drag quite a bit before any drag is actually felt.the best i came up with was adding a few shims from a chrysler a/c compressor clutch under the star drag to add drag tension but havent tried it on the water (bay/inshore ) as of yet...unless thet redesigned the "striper" model much from the caimans p/u an old squidder an hop it up per alan's post on that reel.just my 2 cents....
